Tideway, the company established to build the Thames Tunnel is legally obliged to set up Community Liaison Working Groups (CLWG) at all sites along the Thames in which tunnelling takes place .  The CLWG is comprised of all residents, and regular meetings enable them to meet with Tideway representatives and its contractors to discuss problems they encounter and ask for mitigation measures to alleviate the impact of noise, pollution and traffic on the community.

There’s a wide range of impacts on the health and well being of the community so the Carnwath Road Coalition decided to create subgroups to concentrate on specific impact issues on the residents living on or near Carnwath Road. These subcommittees include Traffic, (including Wandsworth bridge Road traders) Health and Well-being (to include noise, light,  air and environmental pollution) and Property. There are also representatives from community groups such as schools, blocks of flats and houses in Carnwath Road and nearby streets.

The first formal meeting was on November 2015, when Ann Rosenberg was elected Chair. They take place each month. All the minutes of the meetings are on the Tideway website, and can also be found under the CLWG MEETING MINUTES tab.  The reports from the subgroups can be found under CLWG Subgroups tab.

All residents can also keep in touch with each other via the comments page where they can share information about the impact of the engineering works on their daily lives.

Important: Please note that this is not for complaints about the impact of the works.  If you want to make a complaint it has to be officially record via the Tideway Helpline, open 24 hours.
